Last weekend we decided to take a long weekend and have a family break. We headed off from Derry and stayed in Castle Grove Country House just 3 miles outside of Letterkenny.
I had never heard of Castle Grove before this and didn’t know what to expect. The entrance to the hotel was almost hidden; a drive down a narrow winding path with beautiful untouched land on either side which led us to the house.

Inside the house was even more stunning. Massive rooms with huge open fires, antique furniture and fittings. A place that was old but luxury and had a great charm to it.

We decided to head off in the car and drive along the Wild Atlantic way up Fanad drive and out towards Portsalon. Absolutely stunning views over the penninsula.

We were very lucky to catch the most amazing sunset I’ve ever seen at Rathmullan.

Later that evening I decided to take a walk around the grounds of the country house and take some night photos. A stunning place to look at night time as well as the day time.
