I am very proud to show you some of the images from our most recent commercial shoot for the City Hotel in Derry. DerryPhotos was commissioned to photograph the new wedding ballroom and the Rooftop bar “Herveys” for the City Hotel’s new wedding campaign and marketing material.
The day started out by photographing Herveys the new rooftop terrace bar which has some stunning views over the River Foyle. Herveys is now open for business and is the only rooftop terrace in Derry city. I was thrilled to photograph this stunning space.
We then moved from the Rooftop terrace which is on the 7th floor, down to the ballroom which was fully decorated for a wedding. The aim here was to show off the stunning space in the room as well as the fab views through the huge windows of the ballroom.
Herveys Rooftop Bar
The rooftop terrace is on the 7th floor of the city hotel and is available for private hire, functions, weddings, corporate events etc. Nowhere else in the city will you have a roof top experience like this… totally unique.
As you can see from the pictures a great space for a function… I cant wait to have a few cold ones in the summer months here. I can see Herveys terrace becoming very popular for wedding photographers in Derry. Also a beautiful location for any head shots, commercial or corporate photographs and even landscape photographers will love it here.

On the day we were joined by two fantastic models for the lifestyle photography shoot. – The bride was modelled by the stunning Miss Ireland 2017 – Lauren McDonagh and the groom was modelled by Joe Spence.

I just love interior photography especially large spaces such as the ballroom in the City Hotel. The huge windows meant there was light pouring in from everywhere and the room was beautifully decorated making the photography job much easier for me. The ballroom boasts views of two of the most famous landmarks in Derry…stunning views of the River Foyle and Peace Bridge and also views of The Guildhall. The interior design in the ballroom is superb and the new magnificent Chandeliers top off a fantastic wedding venue in right in the centre of Derry.
I would like to thank Linda, Claire and the team at the City Hotel for making this a very smooth photoshoot. Lauren and Joe were so much fun to work with and made my job ten times easier on the day.
